Work is still progressing at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari for their 2006 season.  Across the valley from Eagles Flight you can clearly see a whole bunch of footers for whatever is going in next year.



One of the things that has been discussed in several online forums was that Holiday World may be removing one of its rides in order to create the new midway that will go down into the new themed section.  Also mentioned was that the Bamboo Chute was going to have it's structure reworked so the midway can go underneath it. So that makes the ride that is on the chopping block the Virginia Reel.  Don't worry adding a newer model may be in the plans for the new themed section.  If anything this view is going to look very different next year.



Here is where I think the new midway is going to go.   Behind the fence to the right of the picture is where the Raging Rapids comes out of it's tunnel so that is why the Bamboo Chute is going to have some work done on it.



There's not a lot of space between the Raging Rapids and the Splashin' Safari midway to work with as you can see.  It would be nice if they worked into the plans a nice overlook of the Rapids with a few more water cannons like they have on the other Raging Rapids overlook.
