Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana
2006 Construction Update
June 26, 2005
One of the improvements for
the 2005 season that Holiday World has been waiting on has finally arrived.
These are the new boats for Raging Rapids that have been stuck on a
slow boat heading across a big ocean for a while now. I'm not
sure if they are any different then the current boats that are being
used on Raging Rapids.
On to additions for 2006.
Here's the new access road that goes around to Bahari. Some of
the tree clearing has been for this but not all of it.
Off on the tree line north of the
employee parking lot are several piles of things. I'm not sure
what they are but I'm certain I'll have a better idea in mid-July when
Holiday World announces what they are adding for 2006.
Looking out from the Eagles Flight
it is hard to miss the work that is going on. The trench could
be either for drainage or it almost looks like it may be for utilities.
Up the hill near a bunch of the flags are what looks like holes that
could be for footers but I'm not 100% certain of that. Also I
haven't been able to figure out what the material near the table is
for.
You can see a different view
of the construction while heading down into Splashin' Safari.
Finishing up this weeks construction
update is this trailer near the clearing that is north of Eagles Flight.
My thoughts on what the material are is either metal reinforcing-bar
or maybe some tubing for running utilities like water or electricity.
I'll keep my eye out next week
for any changes and if a lot has happened which my guess is it will
because if they are having to start building in June 2005 for opening
in 2006 whatever it is it has to be big.
