Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana
2006 Construction Update
February 25, 2006
Page Two
Up on the hill there was a
ton of activity this morning. There are at least two cranes back
up there hoisting up structure. Bond and I headed north of this
site by Yelig Park and you can see several parts of The Voyage's turnaround
through the trees.
Work continues on the foundation
for the Gobbler Getaway dark ride. Also off in the distance behind
The Voyage you can see a little of the work that's going on with Bahari
Action River.
In Holiday World's Employee
Parking Lot which has become a staging ground for the 2006 expansion
is all of this metal structure that's laid out nice and neat.
My bet is that this for the Gobbler Getaway building. I think
it will be rising pretty soon as work on its foundation seems to be
nearing completion.
We can't forget about Holiday World's
newest eatery; the Plymouth Rock Cafe. From the looks of it earth
is being moved in this area where it is supposed to be so maybe we'll
have a foundation for it in the next week.
Why are all of these cars in Holiday
World's parking lot? No the park isn't open, trust me if it was
I'd be in there as I could really use a ride on The Raven or Legend
this time of the year. Today was one of Holiday World's many job
fairs where they hire about 1,500 workers for the 2006 season.
I can't wait to see what gets completed
in the next week. Stop on back and I'll keep you updated.
