The Legend Media Day
May 4, 2000
Page One
On May 4th,
2000 the most physically demanding coaster that I have ever been on
premiered at my home park...Holiday World.
Here's the ribbon cutting ceremony
before the first train was sent out. With Will Koch in the front
seat Mr. and Mrs. Koch cut the ribbon and the Legend was born.
The Legend's first drop is a wicked "s"
curve with a tunnel at the bottom. Try to keep a hold of your
head and oh yea...look out for the great head chopper.
That tunnel looks so small as you
crest the drop. Right before it is a great dead branch that
reaches out to you especially if you are riding on the left side.
Here's a great crossover on the
way to the spiral drop. On media day it rained so the Legend was
even more out of control. I tried to get an on ride photo of the
spiral drop but it's just too crazy to let me get a picture. Get
on down to Holiday World and experience this super ride.
