This mass of structure is the helix and the coaster will dive down and speed up into it.

Here's a view of the entrance to the helix from up in the helix. 

This is the top of the helix where you enter a tunnel which goes around half of the loop.  The Legend has three tunnels on the ride so if you're a fan of tunnels this is the ride for you.
