"And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call Call Alice
When she was just small"
There is no Hookah for this Caterpillar to smoke from like he did
in the story. But look in one of his hands because it seems
like he has got something else to smoke which I don't think is legal in
New York just yet.
The Mad Hatter is always up for a spot of tea.
"When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice I think she'll know"
Yeah it is getting kind of trippy here with these two.
"When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's off with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
Feed your head
Feed your head"
That song has always been one of my favorites for a number of reasons.
The lyrics and music are cool but Grace Slick's vocals just rock.
Sadly though she sang Starship's "We Built This City on Rock 'N Roll" which
is a huge black mark on her permanent record.
The Alice In Wonderland walk through attraction at The Great Escape is a
favorite if mine. It is such a wonderful and bizarre piece of art
from a long time ago. It is complete and unabashed "Americana" and
is a must if you visit The Great Escape. I fell for it when I visited
in 2009 and Bond fell for it this time.
