In 1977 Michael Bonfante opened the Nob Hill Family Park for
employees of his grocery chain to enjoy. That family park was the
seed that grew into the park that we have today.
While the Bonfante name may no longer be on the park it lives on here at
the Bonfante Falls.
Bonfante Falls is a part of the park that is landscaped around five
different waterfalls with pathways that go all around and under the
water.
Here are my fellow adventurers Travis, Andrew and Amanda taking in the
wonder of Gilroy Gardens.
Here is one of the many circus trees that reside at Gilroy Gardens.
These amazing trees were created by a man named Axel Erlandson who
created these living works of art by grafting trees. Axel created
a roadside attraction showcasing his trees that by the mid 1980's was
struggling. Michael Bonfante purchased twenty-four of the
creations and they became a large attraction at his slowly growing park.
