Ok, it's time to go take the Afterburner for a spin which means that
we've got to do some stair climbing.
Afterburner is the prototype Arrow Shuttle Loop coaster. Shuttle Loops
were the rage in the 1970's primarily due to Schwarzkopf's fantastic design
that you can still ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom or Knott's Berry Farm.
Instead of having a launch to propel the train forward through a loop Arrow
built their station fifty-six feet off the ground and used this pusher to
get the train headed forward.
As you can see there weren't many people willing to climb up all those steps
to ride Afterburner. That's one of the reasons that there really aren't
many of these coasters left.
