Dorney Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania

After the rain cleared Dorney Park was a ghost town.

I think there might have been ten non employees in the park with the five of us being half of them.

After all of the noise, screaming, thrills and excitement of our day at Dorney Park ending on such a serene note was kind of surreal.

For an hour and a half we had Dorney park to ourselves and we took advantage of it.

We had Hydra to ourselves and then we had Talon to ourselves for a fantastic ending to our day at Dorney Park.

As for my impressions of Dorney.  It feels like a mix between Worlds of Fun and Knoebels.  There are the modern rides like Talon, Steel Force and Possessed mixed in with classics like The Whip and Zephyr that have been preserved giving the park a really cool feel.  I liked it and look forward to getting back someday.  I know Bond wants to get back as in the last month and a half since we got back from the trip he has redesigned at least ten different variations of Demon Drop.

Well with that day two of our big Pennsylvania trip has reached a conclusion.  Knoebels, Lakemont, Delgrosso's, Idlewild and Kennywood are to come.
