"Dear Lord we are thankful for this tasty Philly Cheese Steak"
Bond's reaction to his first Philly Cheese Steak is a big thumbs up, that
is before he inhaled the rest of it.
In celebration of Dollywood's 25th anniversary they added a museum
to the park where you could get up and close to the parks past.
For a few years the second mine train from Six Flags St. Louis operated
at Dollywood before being taken out for the Tennessee Tornado and sold to
Magic Springs.
Here's a photo of the Thunder Express when it was at Dollywood. I
have to point out that it was not a wooden coaster like the sign says but
instead is a steel one as it uses tubular steel for it's track making it
a steel coaster. Just me the coaster geek nit picking though.
At the end of the day after ride after ride and the numerous rare night
rides on everything that Dollywood has to off we hopped into Corey's van
and started the long drive home. It sucks having the fun come
to an end but there is always another trip and more parks to head to with
my friends.
If you're interested the
discussion
is underway as to where we're going to go in 2011 and everyone's attitude
is the more the merrier so if you're interested join in on the discussion
and trip.
Thank you to Pete Owens and everyone at Dollywood for the amazing end to
an amazing trip.
To Corey, Alabama Mike, Todd, Illinois Mike, Josh and Tennessee Mike
both Bond and I had an the time of our lives with you all and can't wait
to ride once again with you all.
