You go speeding back and forth across a valley with the ride's high points up the hillside and the low parts down inbetween.



Thunderhead is a great ride but like most coasters made by Great Coasters International they are engineered to perfection but the layout lacks, well, guts.



Thunderhead is still a fun ride, especially at night which we were going to get as we happened to visit during Dollywood Nights when the park was open well past sundown giving us chances for a bunch of night rides.
