It's time for the boys second Fun Slide credit of the day after they rode
the one at Lake Winnie.
Paul joined them for a slide. I have to say that Lake Winnie has the
better Fun Slide because we sped down that one and this one, well it took
the guys about five minutes to get down it. Instead of a slide it
was more of a scoot. I think it needs a good waxing.
Dixieland has a really nice collection of rides like this Monster of Octopus
ride (Nick, I know you'll email letting me know the difference). The
park has been called a Family Entertainment Center because it started out
as a mini golf course and a go kart track but as much as they have added
to Dixieland since it opened in 1990 it's more of a small amusement park.
It's really obvious that they have some serious plans to expand Dixieland
as there's this new pavilion that goes across the lake and on the far side
of it they're setting up a ride that looks like a Tilt-A-Whirl and there's
the structure for a Skycoaster and one of the parks Zip Lines (we'll talk
about that in a little bit) heads out there also.
