Growing up on a steady dose of books like Mark Twain's "Tom Sawyer" and
"Huckleberry F
inn" or Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under the
Sea", "Mysterious Island" and "Around the World in Eighty Days" my dream
was to leave my dysfunctional family behind and just go explore.
While I wanted to just go and explore I couldn't but sitting on Big
Thunder Railroad surrounded by caves, mesas, coyotes and dinosaur bones
I could be what I wanted to be for a little bit.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also holds the distinction of the first
coaster I ever marathoned on. With my Dad in a seminar and my
sister and I turned loose on a really empty Disneyland the two of us
rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad over and over for most of a day.
It is one of my favorite memories from my childhood.
You might wonder what I thought of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as an
adult?
It is as good as I remembered?
