The riders who ruined our trip on Predator were these two. No
their abhorrent fashion sense didn't ruin the ride for us; their behavior
did. You see while heading over a hill the one in the striped shirt
spit out the mouthful of spit he had saved up so that it sprayed over all
of us behind him. Pissed as hell we made it known that we weren't
going to stand for that shit so when we got back in the station we informed
the ride operators who manually released the restraints for everyone else
but these two idiots and Paul and I who were seated directly behind them
and right in the line of fire until security arrived.
Lewis the security guard arrived and everyone let him know what happened.
So what did Lewis do? Did he kick them out? Nope.
Good ole Lewis the park security guard just let them go.
That was the last straw for me at Darien Lake. I hate writing bad
things about parks and it has taken me forever to write this one because
of that but after Viper's ride ops taking forever to clean up some vomit,
making guests walk way out of their way to get to rides, building facades
in disrepair and now security just letting these two go after purposefully
spitting a mouthful of spit all over all of us I have to say that this is
a crappy park and I have little desire to return. To Hirschend, I'm
not going to hold Darien Lake's abysmal customer service against you but
outside of just running through the park to add the coasters to their counts
I can't advise people to visit the park.
There were two good things about Darien Lake...first off their PR department
tweeted me back instantly when I tweeted about being spit on which was good
to have a response from the park and the second good thing about Darien
Lake is...
...The Ride of Steel.
The Ride of Steel used to be Superman Ride of Steel when Darien Lake was
a Six Flags Park and they just shortened the name when the park was sold
and they had no more rights to the DC Comics characters to name their rides.
The Ride of Steel is an Intamin designed Hyper-coaster that opened in 1999.
