The Blue Streak was built at Conneaut Lake Park in 1937 and was designed
by Edward Vettel.
It's lift is seventy-seven feet tall with a sixty-nine foot drop.
The tough part about visiting Conneaut Lake Park was seeing the Blue Streak
and not being able to ride it. Knowing that the park's previous owner
has gone out of his way to sabotage or derail this fantastic park just pissed
me off. The more and more I saw of the Blue Streak I could see that
I'd love it and it just enraged me. I hope the previous owner who
is now behind bars drops the soap in the shower. It was painful getting
so close and not getting to ride and it took me a few hours to calm down.
In the end the fact that as our host Kathy said that there was more people
in the park that she had ever seen before and that the park was open helped
me get rid of the anger that burned inside of me. If anything I will
be back to ride the Blue Streak.
The Blue Streak has a nice drop but what comes after is what everyone talks
about.
