I have never been a fan of rocking back and forth on ferris wheels.  The rocking is just plain unnerving and when you suddenly go from rocking to speeding into the middle of the wheel, well I'll admit it, yeah I let out a yelp like a little girl.

Here's a quick shot of the beach on one of the few seconds on the Wonder Wheel where we were not speeding back and forth on the rails.

Follow the sign, there is a very good reason for it and the steel screen that covers the Wonder Wheels cars because you come extremely close to not just the structure but the other cars.  Still since it opened the Wonder Wheel has had a perfect safety record with no injuries or deaths making it probably the safest ride ever.

Here's a good view of the track that the swinging cars are on.  You really get whipping out and at several times you will be looking forward and it looks like you're either looking up at the sky or straight down at the ground.
