Just imagine flying down the coaster over hill after hill and ending up skidding into the station here.  Unfortunately the Big Dipper will never ride again but at least I got to experience a little bit of it.



This is my favorite photo from Chippewa Lake.  I love the moss on the rails and the big empty station.



After heading out of the station the Big Dipper ended up heading into a long "s" shaped tunnel before heading to the lift.  One of the very cool features is that the front of the train would actually crash into the tunnel doors while entering and they would close behind the coaster for total darkness in the tunnel.



After crossing under the Big Dipper's out run here's the tunnel exit.
