Negative-G Chat

A large part of the friendships or "coaster family" as I like to call them have grown out of the regular chat sessions that we have here on Negative-G. During chat's we discuss parks, coasters, movies, music, what's going on with each other. In one memorable chat I'm not sure how but even the discussion of David Bowie's codpiece he was wearing in the movie Labyrinth came up.

To put it bluntly in our chats we talk about pretty much everything.

For years to participate in our weekly chat's (Sunday and Wednesday nights at 8 PM Central) you needed to sign up for the Negative-G Forum which took time and in all reality social media has for the most part killed forums. While posting in the forum died our chat's have gone on. In the spring of 2020 the forum was retired and freestanding easy to log in chat software (Discord) was added to all of Negative-G with the hopes of making it easier for more people to join in on the conversation.

Below is a quick guide to using the Negative-G Chat.

When you open up Negative-G.com or any of the pages on the site you will notice the blue Discord logo on the bottom right of your browser window.

Click on it.

The Negative-G Chat

It'll pop up a Discord window for the "Chat" room on the Negative-G Discord server. This is where we have our 8 PM Sunday and Wednesday night chats.

If you do not have a Discord account it will take you to the site to set one up. Once signed up you'll be able to chat on the Negative-G server as well as others. Once in chat you can post links, videos, photos and of course join in the conversation. Discord also offers standalone apps for your PC, tablets or smartphones so you can join chat from wherever you are in the world....even from a coaster if you have the app on your smart watch. Just remember that the regular chat's are on Sunday and Wednesday nights at 8 PM Central and if anyone is in otherwise just hop in and have a friendly conversation.
