The Valravn Roller Coaster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

Valravn is a "dive coaster" that was designed by Bolliger & Mabillard and was added to Cedar Point in 2016.

Like Rougarou I am not a fan of Valravn's name as for both of those names I have never heard those words before and were clueless of what they meant. A Rougarou is a creature in French mythology that is similar to a werewolf. A Valravn it is the "raven of the slain" which feeds on the bodies of fallen warriors in Danish mythology. A Valravn can become possessed by the warriors soul and can regain a human form only after eating the heart of a child.

While the name Valravn doesn't connect with me the ride surely does.

Being a drop coaster Valravn is all about messing with your natural fear of heights. It takes you up two hundred and twenty-three feet to let you dangle over the edge for a few seconds before pushing you over the edge for a straight down two hundred and fourteen foot plunge.

Pulling out of the initial drop Valravn sends you flying up into a hundred and sixty foot tall Immelman inversion.
