The Millennium Force Roller Coaster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

Millennium Force was built by Intamin and opened at Cedar Point in 2000.

Like many of Cedar Point's coasters Millennium Force shattered records when it opened.

Millennium Force with a lift height of three hundred and ten feet and a drop of three hundred feet was the first coaster to break the 300 foot barrier and as a result was the worlds first "Giga coaster".

Once boarding and getting locked into the train you are quickly pulled out of the station using not a traditional chain lift but a cable lift that sends you to the top of Millennium Force's lift hill in no time at all. Seated in the back, which is my favorite seat, you whip over the crest and are airborne all the way down to the ground.

Millennium Force is so forceful that heading up and then speeding around the rides first turnaround that I start to get tunnel vision on the way to blacking out. It is as if when designing this ride Cedar Point brought in Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson and his main design input was to add as much speed and power as possible.
