Shoot The Rapids' two lifts do a couple of things. First off
you need to go up in order to go down and splash in the lagoon but they
also take the boats back and forth across the lagoon to the island where
the back half of the ride is situated.
The first and larger of the two drops was a letdown because we hardly got
wet at the bottom of it. After the soak-free splashdown over on the
island Shoot The Rapids got boring because there was nothing over there,
you just float around for a couple of minutes before heading up the second
lift and down into the rapids.
As you can see Bond's in the back of the boat getting ready to get wet.
As you can see most of the splash from the splashdown is directed away from
the boat keeping it's occupants nice and dry. What gets you wet on
Shoot The Rapids are the sprayers at the bottom of the second drop and...
...water jets that your friends can use to soak you. I always have
a few quarters on any of our trips or -G get-togethers just in case any
of our group wants to take a log flume or rapids ride I mean it would be
wrong not to soak my son or friends if they really want to get wet.
