Skyhawk is a huge compressed air powered swing that takes you one
hundred and twenty-five feet in the air at speeds up to sixty-five miles
an hour. Bond's nervousness lasted about five seconds after the ride
began and then he loved it. Over our two days at Cedar Point I think
we rode this ten or twelve times.
Cha Ching! Ken and Bond score the hardest coaster to get on at Cedar
Point the Jr. Gemini. Bond was actually two inches too tall to ride
but the ride operator told us to go to the Town Hall and ask for a ride
pass. What a ride pass is for if your child is too tall for the kiddy
rides but is too scared of the big ones. So they give out a pass to
let them still have some fun. So with a ride pass in hand Bond got
to add the Jr. Gemini to his credit but Ken got to as well which was fun
because he has had an ongoing bet with a friend on who would get on it first.
Ken won.
After Jr. Gemini we kept working our way around the park hitting coaster
after coaster including Magnum XL-200.
Bond ended up giving Corkscrew a big thumbs down. It's a great
piece of history but like most coasters built by Arrow Dynamics they really
don't age the greatest.
