Here's the first view of Maverick that most people get.  Maverick may look like more of a traditional coaster with a lift hill but it's really not traditional as there's no chain.  Instead the lift has a linear synchronous motor to take the train to the top and for the second half of the ride there's a tunnel with a launch that takes you up to seventy miles an hour.



There's some fantastic airtime on Maverick.  If you like the feeling of being ejected out of your seat than this is the ride for you.



There's a lot of quick transitions between turns, loops and hills which is great.  Here's a tip for you though if you want a painless ride keep a hold of your shoulder harness and it'll keep the head banging (or more appropriately neck) to a minimum.



Once you're over the top of the lift there's not a slow moment on Maverick as most of it's hills, loops and turns are taken at high speed.
