The old and the new at Cedar Point.
Here you see the oldest steel and the newest at Cedar Point. The
neat thing is that the year I was born the record for tallest coaster
was 125 feet. This year my son
Bond was born and the tallest coaster is over 300 feet. I
wonder how tall they will be when his son is born.
The Blue Streak (named after Sandusky
High School's mascot) is a great John Allen out and back coaster.
This is one of those coasters that as soon as you get off you want to
run around the cue and jump right back on it for another ride.
Another joy of a ride at Cedar Point
is the Gemini. Gemini is a twin tracked racing steel coaster.
It isn't a wood coaster, it just uses wood for the structure.
It's great if you can catch the
Gemini when it's racing as you can slap hands back and forth between
trains. On my first racing ride on the Gemini Robb Alvey and I
played paddy cake between trains. Also go for row 3 car one on
this ride for some great airtime.
