The Time Warp Roller Coaster at Canada's Wonderland, Vaughn, Ontario, Canada

Time Warp came to Canada's Wonderland for an interesting reason.  In 2003 the SARS (sudden acute respatory syndrome) epidemic started out in China and spread to many cities around the world including Toronto.  As a result many people stopped traveling, going to concerts or parks like Canada's Wonderland due to fears of getting infected so the parks attendance plummeted.

As a result at the end of the 2003 season Canada's Wonderland the decision was made to add something big to the park for the next season in order to bring back the crowds.  The problem with it being late in the year you can't just call up a manufacturer and say "hey we need a new ride now" as most coasters take around a year and a half from the start to end.  Zamperla had just started making these as a production model rides so they got the order and Canada's Wonderland got a new coaster to bring people back to the park.

You know me, I can't pass up a classic carousel so of course I hopped on the Antique Carousel.
