I don't know if the finale of the ride being a helix was an
intentional homage to the long gone stand up coaster but it would be a
nice touch if they did.
After speeding through the helix Yukon Striker is done with you.
Chances are you will have as big a grin on your face as Paul has because
Yukon Striker is just so much fun.
I do have to say that Paul is so lucky to have Canada's Wonderland as
his home park. I'd love to have it as mine but then I'd have to
leave my sleepy town of six hundred and move to a city of 6+ million and
that is something I would have a hard time doing. Oh well at least
I'll make a visit whenever work gets me up here when the park is open.
I did get to spend an evening at Canada's Wonderland last August.
Unfortunately it was right before school went back in session and the
park was completely slammed with people.
We ended up spending most of my visit in line for Behemoth so there were
few interesting pictures to make a trip report out of.
After finally working our way through the completely full Behemoth
queue, and having a wonderful ride on it Paul took me deep into Wonder
Mountain to get the Wonder Mountain Guardian credit. That ride is
a combination of a shoot 'em up dark ride mixed with a coaster. It
was really fun and quite unique. Paul and I got off with just
enough time to sprint across the park to get in line about ten seconds
before they closed off the Leviathan queue for one last ride of that
trip.
