Just looking at Leviathan gets my heart racing.
Leviathan is the tallest and fastest coaster in Canada and at least in
my eyes it is the best coaster in the country.
Leviathan has everything I need in a coaster. It has speed, a
twisted layout and plenty of airtime. I could easily camp out on
it all day long.
The Bat on the other hand I would not camp out on it. It looks
pretty with the setting sun behind it though.
We ended up making it back over to Yukon Striker fifteen minutes left
before Canada's Wonderland closed. We rode with a boy and his
mother. He was just barely tall enough to ride and was pretty
scared for his first ride. We talked him through it and half the
way down the drop he opened his eyes and let out such a fantastic yell.
He was all "YEAHHHHHHHHHH" all the way around the 1,105 meters of Yukon
Striker. When we pulled into the station Paul and I hopped off and
started to run around to get one more ride. Half the way down the
ramp the boys mother screamed after us "Wait up we are coming". It
was good seeing a new enthusiast being born.
Yukon Striker is insane fun, full of thrills and is the best dive
coaster that I've been on...but I have only been on two of them.
Still it is a fantastic addition to Canada's Wonderland and gives me
another reason to get up to Toronto.
Two hours at Canada's Wonderland with three laps on Yukon Striker, one
on Vortex, one on Thunder Run and one on Leviathan with one of my best
friends is not a bad way to spend an evening in Canada.
Sadly it is going to be such a long time before I get to hang with Paul
again. After this evening I flew back to IL the next day and then
12 hours after getting home I was off on another plane to California to
hit parks from San Francisco to San Diego and yes I would see Paul at
the American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con at Six Flags Magic Mountain
and Knott's Berry Farm. Those pictures and eight other parks from
that trip are going to be coming soon.
