Calaway Park, Springbank Alberta, Canada

Chelsea Barteaux; Calaway's Marketing Coordinator who was showing me around the park, wanted to show off a favorite of hers, the Timber Falls Log Flume.  The historical theming behind the ride was a pet project of hers.  Calaway Park partnered with one of the areas historical societies as well as one of the local logging companies with a long history to not just entertain guests with a fun ride but to highlight some of the areas real history.  As a history geek I completely approve of history being interwoven with a day at an amusement park.

Timber Falls was built by Whitewater and was added to the park in 2015 completely replacing the old Log Flume.

Now I think you could count Timber Falls as a coaster.

I know you are thinking "oh he is just trying to pad out his coaster count" but if you look to the left of myself in this photo you can see Timber Falls's big surprise that makes it a coaster.

Timber Falls first drop actually puts you on a coaster track that takes the car below ground level before sending the log flume up and over a hill that has a little pop of airtime before splashing down into the trough.  That is a coaster track and I think you could count this as a water coaster.

Outside of the really fun airtime bit Timber Falls is a wonderfully fun and wet log flume.  There is plenty of bumping back and forth as the log traverses the trough and with two drops and splashdowns Timber Falls will cool you off.
