We had the most perfect long Florida weekend planned. Carrie,
Bond, Dru, and myself
flew down to Tampa on a Thursday. Friday and
Saturday was to be spent with family celebrating my Stepfathers 70th
birthday. Sunday we were going to head back down to Tampa to stay
at a beach resort.
Monday Bond and I would head to Busch Gardens for a day. Finally
on Tuesday we would fly back home.

The plans were perfect...before Hurricane Debby decided to crash the
party.
Needless to say we got the full Florida treatment during our long
weekend. We got to see swamps, beaches, had amazing food, partied
with family, got to experience a hurricane from the beach (our resort
was not evacuated), and on Monday right after the storm Bond and I
headed to Busch Gardens for what we hoped would be a day filled with
lots of rides.

We didn't get the call that Busch Gardens was going to open until noon
so we didn't arrive until one.

With most of the rides down due to a recent line of thunderstorms when
we arrived Bond and I worked our way around to Shekra as my boy was keen
to add that ride to his count due to it being down for maintenance
during his last
visit here.

Despite a ton of rain and hurricane force winds Busch Gardens looked
amazing like Debbie had never happened.
