After what seems like an eternity waiting in the blink of an eye
time speeds up and SheiKra takes its plunge.
SheiKra opened in 2005 with trains that had a floor. In 2007 Busch
Gardens Tampa wisely decided to plus this ride by adding floorless
trains so riders really feel like they are hanging out there on the
edge.
You can really tell in this photos who is relaxed and who is tense.
Just take a look at the guy in the back row who is so loose he is almost
folded in half.
SheiKra is appropriately named after the "Accipiter badius" or sheikra
as the bird is called in Urdu. The sheikra is a bird of prey that
dives vertically when attacking prey which makes the name perfect for a
dive coaster.
It is so much fun just plunging straight down as the world fills up your
view.
