...but it was closed in order to get a new paint job. Oh well
that is the danger of visiting Florida in the off season but it does give
me an excuse to get back down here the next time we visit my parents.
The Stanley Falls Flume was one of the few rides that I remembered from
my 1981 visit to Busch Gardens Tampa.
The Stanley Falls Flume is an old school log flume made by Arrow Dynamics
back in 1977.
I love older log flumes because they are not just about the drop and splash.
They meander around with several turns, straightaways for speed and drops
before taking you up to the big finale.
The Stanley River Falls big finale is a forty-three foot plunge that Bond
and Brian are speeding down here.
