...which takes you into Alpengeist's vertical loop. After
that there is a mid course break before plunging back down into the
valley and up into a cobra roll .
From there Alpengeist heads into a narrow valley that it shares with
the Le Scoot Log Flume ride for a zero g roll.
Like the Loch Ness Monster Busch Gardens gave photographers like myself
a wonder vantage point on the bridge between Germany and New France from
which to shoot photo after photo of this coaster.
I have a tough call where it comes to which is my favorite inverted
coaster. I love Patriot at Worlds of Fun's mix of speed,
inversions and twists. But then there is Alpengeist that is
wonderfully mixed into the hilly terrain of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
I have to say that after really getting to ride Alpengeist more than the
one or two rides that I had on my previous trip I have to declare it my
favorite inverted coaster.
It would be wrong to have a German themed section of an amusement park;
especially one that was built by a brewing company like Busch Gardens,
to not have a place where people can come together over a fine brew and
celebrate.
I know quite a few friends saw this sign and said "yes please".
While I wanted to enjoy a brew the pull of the rides at Busch Gardens
Williamsburg kept me from taking some change out of my pocket for a few
drinks.
