Bond wanted to hold one of the wheels but with it's weight and the
worry in the back of my mind that Busch Gardens might have a "you break
it you bought it" policy I had Paul help Bond out. Now I'd love
to have one of these somewhere around my house I didn't have four grand
in my wallet to pay for one.
Here's the underside of one of Griffon's trains.
Here's Mallory showing off Griffon's articulation with each of it's wheel
sets. They can each rotate completely around and tilt forward and
back making it so that the train can hug all of the track and keep the ride
as smooth as possible.
Being the geeks we are when Mallory told us she'd answer any questions we
might have I asked how many bolts were in Griffon. Here's her "do
I look like I know that" face. She didn't know how many bolts
but she did say there were 99 pieces of track.
