Being a classic seaside amusement park it is totally appropriate
that Belmont Park has a traditional test your strength game.
Zero Gravity is Belmont Park's drop ride.
The Plunge which; along with the Giant Dipper, has been the only
remaining attraction from the parks opening in 1925. It originally
opened as a salt water pool. The salt water and the pool's
filters/equipment didn't work well together and after a few years it
became a fresh water pool. The building and pool have gone through
several renovations over the years including a a five year long one that
was in the finishing stages during our visit.
Between the Plunge and some of Belmont Park's buildings is a zip line
attraction squeezed in as they really have tried to make every inch of
Belmont Park an attraction.
Heading to the west end of Belmont Park is a wonderful beach front
walkway that extends way beyond the park. With the beach, stores,
places to eat, rides and a historic coaster Belmont Park is the perfect
place to go for an evening out.
