Here he is Bond the Triumphant. 

Actually there's this big rock in the middle of the midway and being a 10 year old boy he just had to scale it and then demanded a photo of him.



The last time I was at Beech Bend this was a Starship 2000 but it looks like Beech bend traded up to the 4000 model.  I'm not sure what the difference is as I'm sure that just like the 2000 would the 4000 would make me hurl.



Bond and I ran into Charlotte who runs Beech Bend.  She and I had a nice chat while Bond took off for more Power Surge rides. 

She said that the park was having a tough year with the massive flooding that covered up the campground (an entire bathroom was washed away leaving just four toilets sitting in the middle of a field) and race track and almost made it up to the Crazy Mouse.  Some of the new water slides that they're building were washed away and set the new for 2010 wave pool, lazy river and slide addition way back. 

Charlotte and the rest of her staff at Beech Bend really try so I'm sure they're going to make it through this tough spell.



Bond's second new coaster of the day was the Dragon Coaster.
