I love the Super Slide.  I spent a lot of my childhood on similar slides climbing up the thin stairway with a burlap sack and sliding my way on down so I have a soft spot in my heart for these.

Next to the Super Slide on Beech Bend's midway is one of the park's new for 2004 rides, the Paratrooper.

Some models of Paratroopers will tilt down so that all of the seats can load and unload at the same time but Beech Bend's is in a fixed position so only one seat can load or unload.  One of the things that Beech Bend has done to be able to expand the park is to purchase what are called "fair rides".  They're rides that can be packed up and moved around to fairs and cost quite a bit less them permanent park rides enabling them to get more for their money.

Jalopy Junction was a new ride for me at the park but I think that it was a 2003 addition.
