I was about an hour away from
Bowling Green, Kentucky for work and had three hours before my next
appointment so on the spur of the moment I headed on down for a quick
loop through the park in forty-five minutes.
For those of you who don't
know about Beech Bend on and off again it has been the Bowling Green
area's amusement park since the 1940's. It's been open and it's
been closed as the park has moved through a string of several owners
including country singer Ronnie Milsap. The park is now owned
by the Jones Family who have been working on slowly building up the
park since the late 1980's.
The first difference that I
noticed from my last visit was that the park's classic Ferris wheel
no longer resides here at the entrance to the park.
Ok, I don't know which company
makes the "evil clown" as I call them trash can lids but this
is the third park that I have been to this year that has one.
The clown pictures my parents put on my walls as a kid always freaked
me out and I'm still a little freaked out by them.
