Bond always likes to check his height. I keep telling him that he's
tall enough to ride every coaster on the planet and he doesn't need to worry.
John Miller, who was the Thomas Edison of roller coasters with the invention
of anti-rollbacks, upstop wheels that locked coasters onto the track and
many other innovations designed The Legend back in 1927. There are
only a handful of his coasters left and that's one of the reasons why The
Legend has been awarded a Landmark status by the ACE.
With the Legend being a landmark coaster Brian reached a landmark on it.
The Legend was his 500th coaster. He was going to have a nice sign
made up for it but forgot so he borrowed a pen and paper from the park office
in order to create it. Sadly the "500" wasn't visible for
the camera.
The Legend's lift hill has a neat sound. The anti-rollbacks sound
like a steel drum band as you head up the sixty-three foot tall lift hill.
