		If you want Bon
d and I to hop in the Toyota and drive for three
and a half hours on a moments notice all you have to do is put out an
offer for us to get into an amusement park for free.

Adventureland, just outside of Des Moines, Iowa put out a notice on
social media at the end of their 2020 season that they were going to
offer free admission for the rest of the year for anyone with a Six
Flags or Cedar Fair season pass.  This was really a great way to
get Six Flags Great America and Worlds of Fun pass holders to take a
little drive to Iowa for a day of fun at this gem of a park in hopes of
getting them to come back in 2021 and beyond.

While Bond and I had been here many times with a free Saturday and free
admission to Adventureland we headed to Iowa for some fun.

It is nice seeing parks adding allergen free foods for those who need
		it.

Speaking of food before getting to Adventureland we had to stop off at
		the legendary Smoky D's Bar-B-Que
as it would be a crime to visit the Des Moines area without some of the
		best BBQ on the planet.

An addition since our last time was a Biergarten.  Adventureland
for the last five or so years has been doing an annual one day
Octoberfest celebration for those 21 and older only.  They normally
bring in a band and have quite the selection of good German beer for
guests.  It sounds like fun and one of these years I'll have to try
		it out.

A few steps away from the Biergarten is Adventureland's wonderful
		Falling Star.
