It is official Bond must be nearing adulthood as when asked to pose with a costumed character like Snoopy he doesn't give me the whole "Dad that is for kids" teenager excuse. My boy is growing up!

Detonator is always fun despite not shooting you all the way up the tower due to being one of the first S&S tower rides.

A first for Bond and I was that Steel Hawk was actually running during our visit.

Steel Hawk was a troubled hand me down ride from Knott's Berry Farm where it stuck riders a few hundred feet in the air more than a few times.

It was added to Worlds of Fun in 2014 and after a troubled start eventually Worlds of Fun worked the kinks out of it and now has a really fun ride. Without the seats swinging like the Star Flyer rides that Six Flags installed Steel Hawk feels more like a open air observation tower ride. Not taking away from it because you get a hell of a view of Kansas City from three hundred feet up there.
