Brandon came up with the idea of an opening day campout after watching people campout in front of a store for "Black Friday" deals. 



He figured some of us coaster nuts might camp out for a day at a park and the tradition was born.  It's not a huge campout but there were well over a hundred campers in front of Worlds of Fun and out in the parking lot roughing it for a day of fun.



There's nothing like sitting back at the end of an evening around a campfire chilling with your friends.  No campfire though as no open flames were allowed but next year we're talking about getting some Styrofoam logs and a light under them for a simulated fire to round out the whole camping experience.



After a night of attempted sleep (I'm totally spoiled by my memory foam mattress at home) we awoke at first light ready to start riding.
