Greg was a last minute addition to our Worlds of Fun trip and I was
thrilled to have him with us as he's one of my favorite people to spend
a day at a park with.
Cyclone Sam's is one of the most unique and fun spinning rides out there.
It's a "Wipe-out" ride placed in a barn that's all themed as if a tornado
hit it. I would have liked to ride it but Bond really didn't want
to give it a re-ride after getting sick on it the last time so the two of
us sat it out.
While the guys were giving Cyclone Sam's a whirl I got a hold of Brandon
Stanley, Worlds of Fun's Public Relations Director whom I've known for a
few years from meeting at various events. I had emailed him the day
prior that I was bringing a bunch of WOF newbies and after getting an email
back to call him and playing phone tag a little bit he met up with all of
us. Before we knew it suddenly we found ourselves on a little behind
the scenes tour which began at the bottom of Mamba's first drop.
One thing that really makes Mamba fun is that you get a great view of downtown
Kansas City as the entire park is situated on a bluff over the Missouri
River with Mamba on the high point overlooking the city.
