The first step in the revival process is to completely strip the horses.



The Grand Ole Carousel was created by the artisans at the Philadelphia Toboggan Company.



After decades of wanting the Grand Ole Carousel restored I would be lying if I said that seeing these getting the love they deserve didn't make me a bit emotional.



From what I was told by the staff working on these horses it is doubtful that they have ever been stripped and restored.



That means that it has been a hundred and five years since this wood and the detail that was carved into them has seen the light of day.
