Like Christmas, the 4th of July or Halloween opening day of Six
Flags St. Louis; my local park, is a sacred and momentous day
of the year.
Unlike Groundhog Day, Six Flags opening day signifies that winter is
really behind us and the warm sun drenched days of spring and summer
are just around the bend.
With the first few rays of spring sun greenery began to emerge from
a winters slumber.
Despite winters lingering chill still hanging in the air we were
greeted by flowers as we made our way deeper and deeper into the
confines of Six Flags St. Louis.
It is not flowers or greenery that we were in search of although
they are nice and do add to the mood. Bond, Brian, Travis,
Greg and myself were in search of thrills...the kind of positive and
negative-g, acceleration laden and gravity defying thrills that
coasters give. We were in store for plenty of that this day.
