Holiday In The Park Christmas celebration at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

With Christmas a few days away it was time for Bond and I to head to St. Louis for our second annual Holiday in the Park.

I really like parks having Christmas celebrations because first off it pushes out the coaster season a couple of months (we only have 2.5 months out of the year without coasters now)...

...but getting out, enjoying a few coasters and having time to spend with friends and family is a wonderful way to really get into the spirit of the season.

In comparison to An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City I like how Six Flags St. Louis celebrates the season in their own way.  While Silver Dollar City's event is quite a bit more traditional in a Dickens sort of way Six Flags is a bit more 20th century with themed areas like Tinseltown, Winter Wonderland and Candy Cane Forrest .  Neither approach is better but they are a wonderful way to get in the holiday mood and celebrate.

One thing that I really have to hand it to Six Flags is they have holiday themed tastes all across the park.  At Johnny Rockets there is a wonderful peppermint milkshake that both Bond and I recommend.
