Hopp
ing in the car to head to Six Flags St. Louis a couple of
days before Christmas is really weird. I mean in general once
Halloween is done there is no more Six Flags until Good Friday for
us. As a result it is no surprise that both Bond and I were
totally geeking out at the thought of coasters on Christmas weekend
for us.
This years Holiday in the Park is Six Flags St. Louis' inaugural
Christmas event. It is also the first Holiday In The Park for
Bond and I so the two of us were really curious as to what was in
store.
With snow and ice covering everything just twenty-four hours before
our visit it is no surprise that Six Flags St. Louis' entrance
fountain has been drained and transformed into a Christmas tree.
Those decorations are just a start to how Six Flags St. Louis was
transformed into a winter wonderland for Holiday In The Park.
I expected festive decorations, holiday lights and new shows but I
was surprised at the number of portable heaters that Six Flags had
all around the park so that anyone could warm up. Thankfully
for us we had wonderfully warm weather with temperatures going from
the 40's in day dropping into the 30's as the evening progressed.
With this being the first year for Holiday In The Park I wasn't
expecting the park to be insanely covered with lights and
decorations but it was nice seeing something at every turn.
