It was always fun walking through the Candy Cane Forrest.
With some festive music, all the lights and laughter of children all
around you it is hard not to have a smile come across your face and
the holiday spirit growing in your heart.
Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast always looks great towering over the park
but Bond would like to see the tower transformed into a giant
Christmas tree with a star on the top. Maybe that will be
added for Holiday In The Park 2017. The big thing that I would
add would be to wrap all of the trees around the River King Mine
Train with lights. A million lights would turn what is a great
coaster into a really magical holiday experience.
One thing that we all did notice for Holiday In The Park was that
Mr. Freeze's launch was quite a bit faster, Pandemonium's mid course
brakes were turned down low and everything else was running faster
then normal. A lot goes into getting coasters running in the
cold and a little faster launch or harder polyurethane wheels make
it so they can run this late in the season.
I am a big fan of all of the capes that are given out for playing
games around the park and it was really nice to see some holiday
ones added.
You can't have a Christmas celebration without the big guy in a red
suit being on hand to take wishes for presents. Bond and I got
in line to ask Santa for a giant B&M hyper coaster (his lead elf
wholeheartedly agreed with us) but the call of coasters and less
than an hour before closing made us leave the line.
