Justice League Battle For Metropolis under construction at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

If you look on that scaffold you will see the plans for the new Justice League: The Battle for Metropolis ride but Dave said he would have to get permission from so many departments and lawyers that he'd prefer it if I didn't get a close up shot of it.  I've got no problem with that besides it would be wrong of me to get Dave in trouble after his being so awesome and bringing us into the park during the off season.

Joining Bond and myself for our visit to Six Flags St. Louis was our compatriot Greg and his boys Rohan and Ryder who is checking out all the work that goes into transforming this ride with Dave.

As soon as the last rides were through on Sunday September 14th, 2014 for Scooby Doo work began at dismantling that ride.  Some of the scenery was saved for use during Fright Fest, some of it was sent back to Sally Dark Rides, some of the guns and their mechanisms were sent off to other parks with similar systems for spare parts and a whole lot went right into that dumpster sitting outside.

As I mentioned earlier all of the interior duct work and air conditioning units had to be moved to the roof which took a while and then the floor was completely redone with a fresh layer of concrete because the new ride vehicles need the floor to be completely level rather than slowly sloping to go with the flow of water like Scooby Doo had..

After all of that was completed shortly before the holidays walls began to rise giving the layout of Justice League: The Battle for Metropolis its shape.

Dave is always good to hang out with.  He has been at Six Flags St. Louis since he started as a teenager working on the grounds and has risen all the way to the top from there.  He knows every nook and cranny in the park and is really proud what he has been able to do with it.
