I'm sorry that some of these photos may seem a bit repetitive but I couldn't
decide which ones to cut because Evel Knievel just takes a great shot.
After the morning's interview and ride Six Flags kept Evel Knievel running
and Greg and I of course took full advantage of that. We pretty much
camped out and changed seats every once in a while like two kids in the
candy store. We even scored about five elusive "zen rides"
meaning we had the coaster all to ourselves.
Honestly I have always liked GCI's creations as they all have bits that
are really fantastic like the first drop on the Kentucky Rumbler, the "Bam
Bam" ending on the Ozark Wildcat or the "zig zag" on Thunderhead
but outside of those moments they've just been ok.
Well 'm thrilled to say that they finally got it all right with Evel Knievel
as the whole ride works from start to finish. There's not a dead or
just ok section of track. It rocks from the moment you crest the lift
until you hit the brake run.
