I'm normally not a big fan
of Batman and maybe it was due to the many months since I had last been
on any coaster but Batman really rocked!
There was plenty of thrills
in the back seat and it was smooth as silk. It wasn't just me
saying that something was different because everyone else was saying
the same thing.
Sadly the Mindbender wasn't
ready for us that day. As you can see it has a new paint scheme
and is having extensive maintenance being done on it.
Here's the wheel assemblies
for Mindbender. For 2005 Mindbender has a new train acquired from
one of Six Flags California properties meaning that it's either from
Zonga or Greezed Lightning. In addition to that the trains are
being rebuilt from the ground up and a bunch of work is going into the
the entire ride to put it back into what we were told is "brand
new" condition. Later in the day the manager of Six Flags
Over Georgia said that one of her goals was to ensure that the Mindbender
stays at the park forever so I can deal with not riding it this visit
as long as it keeps thrilling people way into the future.
Here's Andi taking a spin on
the best carousel in the Six Flags chain; The Riverview Carousel.
